He has written four books:
- Yoga Beneath the Surface (with David Hurwitz, June 2006, Marlowe & Co)
- The Complete Book of Vinyasa Yoga (2005, Marlowe)
- Yoga for the Three Stages of Life (2000, Inner Traditions)
- Basic Tenets of Patanjala Yoga (1982)
Srivatsa Ramaswami has also recorded many audio cassettes and CDs in India of various Sanskrit chants including the Sun Salutation Mantra, the Gayatri Mantra, and others. They (About 30 hours of Sanskrit chants) are now available for download from the recording company Sangeetha. Payment to the company can be made with major credit cards and through PAYPAL facility.

He has been teaching for more than 25 years in India Kalakshetra (for 20 years, and recognized as an Institution of National Importance by the Govt. of India), Ramachandra Medical University, Yoga Brotherhood, etc.
He has taught workshops and Teacher Training programs in the US at the Esalen Institute, Loyola Marymount University, Yoga Works, the Himalayan Institute, Chicago Yoga Center and many others. He is a registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 (500 hour) level. This is the highest level of certification the Yoga Alliance offers.
'He is presently teaching a 200 hour Teaching Training Program (Registered with the Yoga Alliance). Loyola Marymount University is offering the program.
